House cleanouts in Macomb County: what we see and how we work
Macomb County runs from the Detroit border at 8 Mile up to Richmond and Armada, and the houses change as you go. The south end, Warren, Eastpointe, Roseville, Center Line and St. Clair Shores, is mostly postwar brick ranches and bungalows with full basements and detached garages, often held by one family since the 1950s or 60s. The middle of the county, Sterling Heights, Clinton Township, Shelby Township and Macomb Township, is larger 1970s to 1990s colonials and split-levels with attached garages and finished basements. North of Hall Road you get newer subdivisions, acreage and pole barns around Chesterfield, New Baltimore, Richmond and Armada.
We clean out all of it. The most common Macomb County job is a whole house after a parent has passed or moved to assisted living, with the family out of town and a realtor waiting to list. Close behind are basement and garage cleanouts for people who are staying put, rental turnovers along Van Dyke and Gratiot, storage units in the Mound Road and M-59 corridors, and lakeside homes in St. Clair Shores and Harrison Township where the garage holds a boat trailer and thirty years of dock hardware.
Because we are also an estate sale company, we look at your photos with two questions in mind: what needs to go, and what might be worth selling first. If the house has enough good contents, we will tell you an estate sale pays better and quote that instead. If it does not, we quote the cleanout, confirm it at the house, and leave the place broom-swept. Donation receipts are included when items go to a charity rather than the dumpster.
What we take
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances and TVs
- Boxes, clothing, books, dishes and decades of basement storage
- Garage, shed and pole-barn contents, tools and scrap
- Carpet, small demolition debris and yard junk
- Whatever is left after an estate sale or a tenant leaves
What we cannot put in the dumpster
- Hazardous waste, chemicals and liquid paint. We point you to the county household hazardous waste program
- Propane tanks, fuel and car batteries
- Asbestos and medical waste
- Anything you want to keep: set it aside before we start
Not sure about something? Photograph it and ask. If the house turns out to be full of good stuff rather than junk, we will say so, because an estate sale can pay you instead of costing you.
How pricing works
One flat price, quoted from your photos
No hourly meter, no per-yard math and no surprise line items. Send wide shots of each room or space plus anything big or heavy, and Will or Casey call you back with a single price that covers the dumpster, the hauling, the labor and the disposal. We confirm it in person before any work starts, and once you sign, that is the price. It only changes if you add to the job, and we price the addition before we do it.

Confirm and set aside keepers
We confirm in person, you sign, and you pull out anything you want to keep.
We haul and sweep
Everything else goes, and the space is left empty and broom-swept.
Questions from Macomb County families
Good to know
Which Macomb County cities do you clean out?
All of them. Warren, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township, Macomb Township, Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, Roseville, Eastpointe, Center Line, Fraser, Utica, Mount Clemens, Harrison Township, Chesterfield, New Baltimore, Richmond, Romeo, Armada and the townships in between. We are based in Warren.
How fast can you clear a house in Macomb County?
Most jobs are quoted within a day or two of your photos and finished within the week. Once the dumpster is in the driveway, a typical house takes one to two days.
Can you work with my realtor or attorney?
Yes. We regularly coordinate with listing agents and probate attorneys, work from a lockbox, and send photos when the house is empty so everyone knows it is listing-ready.
Do you price by the hour or by the truckload?
Neither. You get one flat price for the whole job from your photos, confirmed in person before we start. It only changes if you add rooms or buildings to the job, and we price the addition first.
